Preparation and Usage
Instructions
5-10 mins
Preheat oven. Peel and cut into evenly sized pieces. Place into a pan of cold water and bring to the boil. Drain.; Cooking Instructions - General. Do not reheat.; Oven cook - From Ambient. Roast potatoes
Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas 7, 40-50 mins
Shake to roughen surface. Preheat some oil in a roasting tin. Spread potatoes evenly in roasting tin and baste. Roast uncovered. Turn once during cooking or until golden.
Wedges
Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas 7, 25-35 mins
Preheat oven. Cut potatoes in half lengthways, and then in half lengthways again. Repeat until you have 8 wedges per potato. Place wedges in a bowl with 1 tsp olive oil per potato. Stir until coated. Place on a baking tray. Bake uncovered. Turn occasionally until golden and tender.

Tiny
Little fed up lately with Ocado fruit and vegetables They seem to be sending out bruised bad quality things constantly. These were tiny little bit bigger than a new potato no good for peeling or roast potatoes have decided for now to buy where I can see and that includes fruit and vegetables. Quite annoyed how much bad quality things I have been sent repeatedly in last two months
Wait for New Season
As with all Maris Piper potatoes at this time of year, the quality deteriorates, to such an extent they are not worth buying.
Very Poor Quality
The quality of these potatoes has really plummeted over the last 4-6 months. They were always reliable but now I have had to throw most of a bag away because of green spots, black spots, soggy spots and rotten middles. I now buy M&S Maris Piper potatoes from my local Food Hall where I can assess their quality by sight. It seems Ocado customers receive very poor quality potatoes. Please get your act together on this M&S.
Rotten.
Since about 2019 these potatoes have been absolutely horrific quality. You receive them and even if you use them that same day, you end up peeling them and throwing them away. They are either green and soft or rotten and bruised. There are so many bad reviews and nothing is being done about the quality of the potatoes. There has not been one bag of Maris Piper potatoes, Ocado or M&S that hasnt had an issue for me for nearly 4 years now. Something needs to be done.
These became terrible (from Feb 2024)
I stopped buying the OCADO Maris Piper potatoes because they were full of badly bruised & blackened potatoes. I was prepared to pay a lot more for the M&S ones to avoid this. But now these are WORSE that the OCADO ones ever were, so a waste of money buying them.
Grotty looking spuds!
They used to be great all rounders, and looked just like the picture. But the last 4 months have been bad, bruised and almost to the end of life.
