Frozen in a solid block
Whenever I receive these, they are always frozen in a solid block. Maybe this is just a problem with my local distribution centre, but firstly it makes me concerned for food safety (since it suggests that they melted and then refroze) and secondly it makes the bag nearly unusable without the aid of a pickaxe. They are decently nice vegetables if you enjoy eating 750g of mixed veg all in one go.
ok for frozen veg
I don't normally like mixed frozen veg as it always has the same taste to it. This is ok if you're in a rush. Mainly carrots and peas but I quite like that.
OK
Theses are cheap, and they're OK, but they seem to take forever to cook, whether microwaved or on the hob, the peas especially stay hard.
minestrone soup
Makes great base for lazy minestrone soup, adding tinned tomatoes and loads of herbs
Could do with a little more taste
A bit watery, but nothing roasting or stir frying can't cure. Not the best frozen veg, but ok for the price.
ok
Peas are small. so frozen you have to whack the package and then everything goes everywhere. I prefer the birds eye mixed vegetables
