Great with rice
Good for health too
wonderful whole grain
Such a delicate flavour and nice texture, its one of my favourite whole grains.
Soooo good!!!
I’m eating it now as I’m writing this review. It’s so delicious simply cooked with butter! Or pan fried (after cooking) with garlic. Yummmm high quality and proper pearl barley — as good as it gets. I love it and just popped here on Ocado to add it to my upcoming order.
Not pearl barley
We are surprised by the great reviews of this product. Perhaps the supplier has changed? Its hulled rather than pearl. Pearl grains should be smooth as the hulls are removed. This also means that cooking time should be 25-30 minutes not 1 hour +. The cooked barley isnt great either, fluffy/bitty and still a bit raw after cooking for ages. Disappointed.
Great
good for soups and stew
