Nice meat alternatives pie
Was given this as an incorrect substitute but what a delightful surprise it has been. I would not have bought it otherwise but will definitely do it in the future. It tastes nice and the pastry is just right.
mushy filling
Really disliked these pies. Looked good, smelt OK but tasted awful. The filling reminded me of dog food and I heaved at the texture. I have been vegetarian for 40 years and usually enjoy meat free products but will steer clear of these. In fact they have out me off buying anything in M&S plant kitchen range.
Just like a pie from the chipshop!
Feels quite processed- but pastry is good and with a pile of mushy peas reminded me of a chipshop pie & very enjoyable.
excellent pastry, weird filling
the pastry is so rich and crispy and flaky, absolutely divine. however, the filling is very soft and glutinous, the flavour is ok but it needs more texture.. loads more.. and it's pretty yucky, which is a big shame. i hope you change this cause it could be really good.
The Best On The Market
Ive tried just about every vegetarian/vegan pie available and these come out top. They freeze well, the vegetables are identifiable, they arent too peppery, the pastry is delicious and they are fairly priced. Even my meat eating other half was satisfied with one as part of a pie, mash and gravy supper. Very, very good.
