Horrible

I can’t believe so many people have rated this highly. It’s probably the worst vegan ready meal I’ve ever had . The pea protein has a horrible texture which is the furthest away from chicken you can imagine. There are so many vegan chicken products on the market, some good and some bad and others inbetween. This is the worst I’ve tasted. The sauce is sickly sweet and I had to throw it away after one mouthful. The rice is good but that’s about the only positive. Cooking instructions are also not so great as you have to cook the pea protein in an oven and the rest in a microwave. As I don’t have a microwave I put the lot in an oven which I have to say was fine so the instructions should say this. It’s a no from me.

Good flavour balance

I really enjoyed this. I'm not a vegan but I have cut the amount of meat in my diet. So often, sweet and sour sauce is rather vinegary but this had a good balance between the elements. Had I not known, I doubt I would have identified the protein as anything but chicken
