textureless porridge and jam
Thought Id try this as an emergency for my teen. He ate without complaining due to hunger levels, but the quality is reflected in the cheap price. Compote is just a jam like out of a jar, the porridge is like sludge with no texture and its only semi skimmed milk, so high in carbs and not much for protein and fat. (Gave him eggs on the side). Usually we get another brand with whole milk (or oat milk alternative) topped with a compote of berries that you can define and almond butter, or alternatively with chunks of mango, chopped dates and hemp seeds - and of course textured oats. Much better rounded nutritionally and quality-wise. People who like Quaker instant oat sachets I imagine this might appeal to. If you have more discerning tastebuds then you might wish to avoid.
Perfect for autumn
Really comforting and a lovely porridge base
Lovely porridge
Yes, this is expensive compared to a box of porridge oats. BUT I compare this to the porridge you get from PRET when youre out and about which is £3.75 so compared to that its pretty reasonable!
doing some porridge
this is fine, I mean how exciting can porridge get? can't help thinking you'd get the same results with cheap porridge and jam, tho.
delicious
The porridge is absolutely perfect, no gluey texture like some other porridge. It tastes fantastic and the berry compote is delicious. There are very few makes/types of porridge I can eat as I need a certain texture and taste to make it palatable but this is the best. Well worth the price.
Best porridge
So smooth, creamy, and yummy. Great start to your day!
