Does the Job
A good source of omega-3, these sardines are mild and delicious, with easy to remove bones, if you don't like them. I like the ones in tomato sauce because they're a bit lower in fat. So many tins say that there are two servings in them, but I don't think that's realistic - I expect most people just eat the whole tin. I guess more expensive brands have something going for them beyond the basics, but those aren't in my budget, so I'll stick with these, since the standard is just fine!
Favourite sardines.
My husband loves sardines on toast for a quick lunch. I have bought every kind of fancy sardines in a tin you can think of and he has just told me to only buy these. This is is favourite in tomato sauce. Well this is perfect because they are a lot cheaper than the rest......goes to show you it's all personal taste.
the best variety of tinned sardines
I have eaten a clean and healthy diet for sometime now so ingredients are important as much as the actual main product, these are perfect as they don't contain any sugar unlike other tomato sardines brands. I enjoy them, the fish are whole (without heads and tails obviously) not mushy at all, with a single bone inside, this is optional eating, I give mine to the dog but they are edible and nutritious. I simply add the them spacing out on organic sourdough bread and toast, often adding organic tomato sliced then when done sprinkling over organic balsamic vinegar but often just having them toasted alone, they are lovely.
nice product good price
Quality product at good price maybe a little bit more sauce needed - but overall enjoyable, I purchase each week and they make a tasty snack on toast.
Delicious and nutritious
My husband loves these! Succulent, plump juicy sardines with a good tomato sauce which is flavoursome and delicious. Better still, they contain no nasty additives like sugar, starch, flavourings etc found in other brands. Delicious on toast or in sandwiches with a sprinkling of black pepper and lemon juice, and perfect added to pasta, risotto, stir-fry and curry at the last minute. The same goes for M&S Danish Mackerel Fillets in Tomato Sauce and M&S Danish Mackerel Fillets in Spring Water. Supremely healthy and tasty!
lacking taste
sadly I found the sauce lacking taste. Good quantity of sardines though. won't buy again.
