Tasty warming easy dinner
This is a decent effort. The mash is deliciously buttery. There is plenty of filling which is tasty. I agree with other comments that the filling is a touch sloppy, and it could do with some more chopped carrots in for my liking. But the whole thing works pretty well. Its a good mid-week easy dinner. Big portions for two. The cooking instructions need changing: in order to brown the top, you need to give it AT LEAST an additional 15 minutes. I wouldnt finish under the grill due to the plastic dish it comes in : )
Yuck
Quality of the mince was terrible. It had lots of rubbery white bits chopped probably from other organs that shouldn’t be there. It made me sick and I couldn’t finish it. The mash was nice but meat and gravy made it such a cheap tasting awful product. I’d never expect this from M&S.
Very disappointing, sloppy and bland
I dont know what happened as it used to be okay, now it is tasteless and sloppy with very little actual meat. Would not recommend or buy again. Having M&S on the packaging no longer means good quality!
added sugar
I hadn't realised sugar was added. Will not buy again. Why on earth put sugar in a shepherds pie?!
shepherds soup more like
This is about what youd expect from slop served in a prison canteen and not from M&S. Also this is supposed to be Shepherds pie but it tasted like it was cooked in tomato ketchup. This is the worst food I have EVER had from M&S, who are usually so consistent and reliable. Disgusting. Tesco and Sainsburys are both better.
Quick meal
Handy for a mid week meal with a portion of extra veg. Great that it doesnt have peas in - thank you
