Rosemary & Red Pepper Orzotto
Flavour Kit
335g cherry tomatoes
160g peas, defrosted if frozen
75ml single cream
250g orzo
100g chorizo, cut into approx 1cm slices
Simple Swaps
Replace orzo with cooked penne
Replace chorizo with nduja
Make it vegetarian by using vegan chorizo
Prep time 5 mins
Cook time 15 mins
1 Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a deep frying pan over a medium heat, fry the chorizo and tomatoes for 2 minutes.
2 Add the garlic & herb seasoning, fry for 1 more minute.
3 Add the orzo and 650ml of boiling water, bring to the boil.
4 Turn down the heat and simmer for 8 minutes stirring occasionally. The orzo should have absorbed the water and have a risotto like consistency (if it is looking dry, add some more water).
5 Stir in smoky red pepper paste, the cream and the peas. Cook for 5 minutes and serve.
