Not bad
Very generous with the rice but not much else overall taste ok
Nice........ but!!!
The overall taste and quality is M&S standard.........but it was somewhat dry and a little tasteless. Without seasoning etc it would not be their normal standard.
lovely substitution
I had my egg fried rice subbed with this and Im so glad it was. I found it really tasty and would definitely buy it again
Struggled to eat it
I'm with others that the rice was awful. I know people have added sauce and seasoning but I don't think you should have to, and I'm not sure any sauce would have helped this. The texture was foul and I followed instructions on cooking so I don't see it's my prep work. Couldn't recommend.
Will buy again
I would have given 5 stars, but I think the £4.25 price tag justifies more prawns & pork. I added extra prawns & a few mussels to serve with ocado's Piri Piri Chicken grills. Definitely recommend that combination and will buy both again.
Delicious
I have to agree with some of the other reviews - the rice is bland - but I added a little salt & some Chinese curry sauce , with a few M&S chunky chips and it was better than our local Chinese takeaway - the only thing that let it down was the prawns were tiny - but absolutely delicious otherwise - I would highly recommend & there is definitely enough for 2 people, and worth every penny in my opinion. Its a 5 star from me - this will be a regular on my weekly shopping list
