always consistent
My partner loves these but only buy occasionally for obvious reasons.
Traditional
Sweet and sticky - just what my 87 year old husband loves
So sweet
These tiny little puddings were extremely sweet. I know they are golden syrup sponges, and are expected to be sweet, but this was unpalatable. I won't buy again .
horribly sweet
So sweet you cant eat it. Syrup has no traditional syrupy flavour, just sugar. The syrup trifle is just as bad. However the jam sponge pudding had a good flavour, but still too sweet. M&s food In general just isnt such good quality as it used ti be, they seem to be just relying on their reputation .
My sources can reveal these are delicious!!
My 85 year old Dad, who has been eating syrup puddings for a very long time, says these are delicious!! He has them with custard (lots of it). His only complaint is that they arent big enough. Thats not saying hes criticising the size of the pudding, hes just greedy and wants more!!
So disappointing
Bought these as a treat and theyre so disappointing. What have M&S done to them? The sponge has a weird texture now and rather than a dome its now got a flat roof!! Even the syrup has been subjected to shrinkflation. I wont be buying these again.
