Cooking Instructions - General. For best result Microwave.
Do not reheat.; Microwave - From Chilled. 750W 3 mins
900W 2 mins, 30 secs
Cook on high (100%).
Remove sleeve. Pierce film. Allow to stand for 1 min.
Stir after cooking.
Guide for one pack only.; Oven cook - From Chilled. Electric 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 10 mins
Preheat oven. Remove sleeve. Pierce film.
Place on baking tray.
Allow to stand for 1 min. Stir after cooking.

Almost restaurant quality

I enjoyed this with a couple of slices of m&s spelt bread and was happily surprised. It has plenty of little lentils and taste of the famous side dish. If I had one quibble it would be that a few lentils were a little hard. Hopefully one day I'll try and cook this dahl recipe from scratch like I was taught in an advanced Indian food cooking class years ago in a college.

This is ok, but the M&S collection one is just sublime (just like Dishoom). My husband now walks to M&S to buy it as its not available on Ocado. Please start stock it!

Slop

I have had this product on a number of occasions but this latest batch was nothing short of 'slop'. Hardly any dahl (honestly the cheapest ingredient) and more greasy sauce. Not impressed and will not buy again.

Generally fine, once was off before use by date

This is quite nice usually, but I once had a case where it tasted off on same day as use by date.
