Far too salty to be healthy
I think I've bought this salmon before, though usually in the larger size, and was surprised to find that it was very salty. It tasted as if someone had poured in half a container of salt! I need to watch my salt intake, so will not be buying again. I'm not sure why it's necessary to add any salt to salmon - or to anything really. It's better to leave people to add their own.
Poor quality control
This salmon is not skinless and boneless. The last 2 tins that I have purchased contain a lot of skin and bone. Pin bones I wouldn't mind but these tins have contained sizeable chunks of vertebral bones (photo available). I could overlook this in a normal tin of salmon but not when I pay a premium price for these to be removed. I will not be buying this item again.
Ethical and tasty salmon
I added lime juice, chopped chilli and finely sliced spring onion and served with steamed rice with furikake. Great little lunch
Wild and responsibly sauced
A previous reviewer has got muddled up. Salmon can be wild and responsibly sourced. Ie not caught in seas or rivers where salmon numbers are low. Its good for tinned salmon and great with pasta.
This is the only salmon i ever buy
Love this salmon never had a bone yet absolutely delicious.
theyve taken the calcium out
I do like tinned salmon and I like the bones as well because that is a good source of calcium its a shame that manufacturers are starting to take bones out of not only salmon but also sardines.
