Great toast and super for toppings
Love this bread for simple toast or topped with yummy stuff for crostini
Not good
Really disappointed. Dry and flavourless. Could not recommend and will not buy again.
Outstanding!
This sourdough is outstanding! This, Jasons Sprouted Grains Sourdough and Bertinet Bakery Sourdough are the tastiest, most delicious, softest, freshest, best textured sourdough loaves I have found! It is how proper authentic sourdough bread should be. Better still, it uses British wildfarmed flour as part of this brilliant British biodiversity and soil health initiative (I usually buy organic), as well as rye flour which I love. It has a glorious flavour and beautiful soft, springy, moist texture with a lovely crust. Makes gorgeous toast and delicious sandwiches and I love that it contains clean and simple ingredients with no additives. Sourdough is easier to digest than regular bread as the fermentation process breaks down gluten and is excellent for beneficial healthy gut bacteria. Keeps fresh for a few days in a bread bin and freezes well – I use it fresh from the bread bin for a day or two, then freeze the rest. I had wished it was organic, but that doesn’t matter - the ethics of supporting British biodiversity, wildlife, soil health and British farmers are credentials to be applauded. Perfect in every way – outstanding!
Very good bread
I'm very fussy about bread and M&S bread is not generally to my liking, this however, is absolutely smashing bread.
much better than anticipated
First impressions were how dare m & s sell such a small loaf for such a high price! It is very small. But also dense. Beautiful complex nutty texture when toasted. An occasional treat.
Quite good
Its a sort of half and half, white with a hint of rye sourdough. Size isnt great for a toaster and its expensive for what it is - good but not great.
