Lovely lemony flavour
I really loved the lemon flavour, and it gave the whole meal a lift (served it with potatoes, tomatoes and runner beans). It is different, richer, than you would manage with just a slice of fresh lemon. But you might be disappointed if you want to taste the mackerel, because the lemon certainly won! In other ways this is a standard tin of mackerel - same amount, same quality, and so it is expensive in comparison. I will buy again, but not frequently. Maybe compromise and have half a tin of this each, along with half a cheaper tin; that way you get the 'best of both worlds' in terms of flavour and price. This deserves 5 stars for flavour, but I only gave it 3 because of price.
