Very authentic and versatile

Being of Italian background Maggi is very popular in Italy. I get through a lot of toms in a week so thought id give this a go. Yes it a big tin but i separate it and freeze in 400g tubs and defrost when needed. its thick and tasty and will be fine for many dishes including pizza topping. good price and recommended.

Please bring the 800g tin!

I really wish Ocado would bring the 800g tin back.. this is amazing tomato sauce but I don't buy it anymore as 3kg is just way too big!

Massive tin!

I'm sure that the last time I bought this it was a tin that was about half the size. It is fabulous and I just reordered the other day but the size of it was huge! I will have to plan to make a couple of dishes then freeze a batch of it. Normally it would be fab for when you are entertaining a crowd - sadly not during lockdown

Lovely, really tomatoey flavour

I made a batch of bolognese using 1/3 of the tin, then froze the rest. I loved the flavour. The large tin is rather unwieldy though and caused some mirth when various members of the family walked into the kitchen when I was cooking.

it's 3kg about 6 and a half 400g tins big

Ocado stock a 800g tin. I got this tin in a flash sale... well impressed. Mrs Smith missed this on her cheats! half a tin went into a pork and paprika and other half just 're heated, as soup, as it's so tasty.
