Love It
Love Marmite. Right from when l was a child, many years ago. I can't pinpoint when l first tried it, but l was born early 1940's. My fav is on toast. But l spread it on numerous food items. Extremely Highly Recommended.
runny marmite :-(
Disaster - the consistency and colour has changed! Until now marmite has always been the same: quite thick, and glossy. But this jar was distinctly runnier and lighter matt in colour - horror! Tastes just like it should (hence 2 stars not one) but visuals really matter to enjoyment of food - as a long term marmite addict hope this gets fixed v quickly!
consistency is very..inconsistent !
I dont eat the marmite but my husband has always been a big fan. Recently he says its not the same, its lighter in colour and the consistency is much less stiff and far more gloopy. Taste is also altered . Jar to jar its inconsistent in quality. Does anyone know whats happened ?
whats happened?
I love marmite but the last few times that I have purchased jars I have found it impossible to spread. It just destroys the slices of toast, buttered or unbuttered. Medium or thick, toastie or normal, white, seeded or wholemeal makes no difference. I would say go back to the drawing board but it doesnt taste the same on a drawing board so Ill just give up
A big LOVE from me
Nothing better than cheese and marmite on toast or rice cakes - a cupboard staple in our household!
Its okay
I dont mind it. Can take or leave it really.
