Family favourite, but SHRINKFLATION

These used to be 6 small bags in a packet for £1.25, and now suddenly its 5 small bags for the same price. Still my kids favourite treat though.

Lovely childhood favourite

The biscuits themselves are fairly bland, similar to a rich tea but slightly airier and without malt. Their plainness makes them the perfect base for the sweet icing, which comes in four varieties: lemon (yellow), blackcurrant (purple), raspberry (pink) and plain (white). Each colour does taste different, with the blackcurrant having the strongest flavour. Though generally the amount of icing to biscuit is well balanced, there does tend to be some minor variation in the size of the icing blobs, and it is very rare to get a packet where none of the gems are broken! But that does not impact the taste of the product and there are plenty of biscuits in a packet, making them a satisfying but relatively low-calorie sweet snack that is great for children and adults alike.
