FLAVOUR IS A FRONTIER
Natoora Fresh Spanish Loquats
- With a soft texture and delicate skins that bruise easily, Loquats are bound to their local growing region and rarely found in the UK.
- We bend our supply chain to source them fully ripe and undamaged from Alicante in Spain.
- Peel back the skin — which can be bitter — and find sweet, soft flesh with apricot, cherry and floral notes.
Take it further
- Roast with butter and brown sugar.
- Make jam or compote.
Our packaging is plastic-free
- We have developed our own revolutionary packaging which is entirely plastic-free and home disposable. Each of our recyclable cardboard punnets is flow-wrapped with home-compostable film which, unlike traditional plastic flow-wrap, disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in your normal recycling and the clear film in your food waste bin.
- Each punnet bears the ‘Plastic Free’ mark of A Plastic Planet, a grassroots movement which aims to turn off the plastic tap.
Natoora's radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food
- We are revolutionising the food system.
- We work direct with growers who value flavour, biodiversity and heritage over yield.
- We give them the support they need to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.

delicious
Lovely ripe lush fruit. I couldnt fault it.
All bruised!
I've never tried these before so I thought I'd give them a go, but I've received them all bruised. It's such a waste but they're going straight in the food bin, l can't eat them like this. I'll order them again because I'd really like to see what they taste like, hopefully they'll be edible next time!
Interesting!
Bought on a flash sale as I'd never tried these. I cut them in half like a peach and took out stones. Not sure I can say they're like anything I've had before...they're not the sweetest of fruits, but would be good in a fruit salad or maybe a pavlova with raspberries.
sour
I really love loquats and very happy to see Ocado have them in stock. But I wont buy again at Ocado. I dont like the texture, and I find acidity out power sweetness too much. They went straight into bin.
Delicious
Good quality. Fresh and full of flavour.
Subtle but lovely
The skin can be bitter, which I don't mind, you can peel it off and just eat the flesh which is sweet and lightly aromatic. Can be cooked down into jam or compote. Those who have eaten loquats before will be aware they bruise, and this is not a bad sign, but quite normal. If you enjoy plums, gages and sloe, you'll enjoy these.
