Pale straw with attractive greenish hues. Bright tropical aromatics, with subtle citrus and overtones. The palate is elegant with delicately detailed sweet tropical fruits, lively acidity, refined minerality, a long flavoursome finish
History
In 1984 Neil Ellis sourced grapes from vineyards not of his own and produced wine in rented cellar space. These grapes were sourced in the Stellenbosch district and meant a lot of nosing around the restrictive quota system prevalent at the time. His vision, the pursuit of quality, extended out of the cellar and into the vineyards where varieties would excel and best express a particular style of wine reflective of their environment

Vinification Details
Harvest commenced on the 6th of February and carried through to the 19th of February. Grapes were harvested between 22 and 23°B with a total acid of 8.0 g/l and a pH of 3.2-3.3. The juice was cleaned by means of floatation after it was racked and inoculated to ferment at low temperatures. The wine was left on the lees for 3 months before blending and bottling.

Crisp n dry

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Sorry to say I wasn’t raving over this wine. It was a bit non-descript. I would prefer to pay less for a nicer wine - if I bought it myself!

Crisp Sauvigon

I was sent this bottle of wine by Ocado to review. I do enjoy a bottle of Sauvigon Blanc, and this was crisp. Will buy to have with a fish dinner.

earthy, gooseberry flavours

I am reviewing this wine as a free sample from Ocado. This wine was quite different from what I usually like. But it was still a nice wine definitely earthy with gooseberry and hint of elderflower in the taste. I still prefer a lighter more subtle fruit like pear flavours .

Unusual

Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. It is very earthy, I can taste the soil. It is also very dry. For me, it lacks of depth of flavour. I will not purchase again.
