Good
Very good quality meat, especially for this price. However, it is quite fatty, so in my opinion it is perfect for burgers, but not for spaghetti Bolognese.
Questionable 20% fat content
I usually by 15% fat mince beef and this has a lot more than 5% extra fat. apart from that good mince but too much left over fat for the meals I make.
A rare combination
A rare combination of best flavour AND best value. Superb in a slow cooked ragout. I would far rather use this and skim off some fat than use low fat and sacrifice taste. Yes (despite skimming), this may still be higher in calories, but I you need less of it to feel satisfied. Some things are just worth more calories. This is it. And it is such good value!!!
good value for money
For me and the kids, making bolognaise or chilli con carne, I find this to be perfect. I use leaner mince for anything that need structure or quality - but for most normal cooking, this suits us fine. Its fatty, but its not like it hides that fact. Good value.
More fatty than it used to be
we have been buying this mince for the last few years to make Bolognese and burgers. today I felt like I was deep frying meat and so much fat came out of it when cooking. definitely fattier than it used to be.
great for making burgers
