Ocado British Chicken Thighs 1kg
Everyday Savers
Product information
Fresh class A. Skin on
Tender and flavourful chicken thighs are a perfect teatime starting point. Simply season and oven bake to feed your family, barbecue as a feast for your friends or slow cook when the weather starts to cool off.
Chef's Tip:
"For perfectly pan-cooked chicken, turn frequently in the pan if you're cooking without the skin or, for skin-on chicken, cook skin side down for the best flavour and texture. Finish in the oven to cook through evenly"
Our Ocado chickens live in barns that have natural daylight with bales and perches so that they can express their natural behaviour.
There may be a slight odour on opening, which will quickly disappear. This is normal and does not affect the quality or flavour of the chicken.

cheap and easy
Some of our big family favourite recipes use these. Slow cook beautifully and meat is soft and falls off the bone. I suggest browning them first for extra flavour
Consistently good
Always a staple now that prices are going up across the board. Really juicy and decent sizes. Ours always come with a decent amount of life. I tend to divide up the pack and freeze them in portions. They defrost beautifully.
broken bones
Mine came with each thigh broken in two (was it done to assemble exactly one kilo?) I had to remove all bones as I was not sure about broken bone edges. Bad idea, generally. On the positive side, they were quite OK taste-wise, hence 3 stars.
Juicy and delicious
Juicy and flavorful! These British chicken thighs from Ocado are perfect for a variety of dishes, from hearty stews to succulent roast dinners.
can be feathery
Please can you make sure the feathers are off. If it wasnt part of my culture to cleanse meat with white vinegar and lemons it would gave to take the skin off every tine, as you know its not like the full weight doesnt include the skin. Thus I ask you make sure all your chicken is properly plucked at the processing plant. Much appreciated.
Great, but quite fatty
Normally end up in a tray back, but I have a grid that sits in the bottom of the baking tray to lift all the food out of the fat that renders out of these. I sit the rest of the bake (potatoes, pepper, cherry toms & sliced chorizo - 160 deg C for 50-60 mins (pre boil pots)) under the chicken so it gets a bit of a baste from the chicken fat, but I can't bring myself to let the veg sit in the fat for most of an hour!
