Ocado Chilli Flakes 28g
Product information
Suitable for vegans.
"A kitchen without dried chilli flakes would be as alarming to me as a kitchen without lemons! I add a fiery freckle of them to almost everything I cook, it sometimes feels like. And for good reason: they bring a rich warmth instantly and effortlessly. One of my favourite standby suppers is that Italian classic, Spaghetti Aglio Olio, in which you toss the cooked, drained pasta in olive oil, minced garlic and chilli flakes (though I like a carpeting of freshly chopped parsley, too) and I much recommend a sprinkling over a fried egg! I add a small pinch over onions, once cooked (along with grated lemon zest) to bring pep and zing to soups, stews and sauces, and reach for them with more gusto when I’m after seriously searing heat. But do start off using them modestly, so that you can see for yourself that they’re not just for fire-eaters!" Nigella Lawson

Ok chilli, but no sprinkler
The first time I used this I had a heap of chilli on my food. No-one else mentions this, so maybe I got a faulty one
mild to almost nothing
i bought this hoping it wasnt spicy and im happy with it. i know it not for every one but if u want a kick tesco has a very spicy dried chilli flakes
Flavourless
No matter how much I put on my food I tasted absolutely nothing
Good kick
I find with each brand or batch of chilli flakes you need to experiment with them for a while before settling on the quantity that suits you. This one seems to have a good kick and I only use a very small sprinkle in my spiced butternut squash soup to give it a decent amount of heat!
No warmth, no heat. Nothing
These didn't taste of anything nor did they add any heat to my cooking. I've never had such bland flakes. Didn't matter whether I added a few flakes or a whole heap, nothing!
Good flakes, poor label
These chilli flakes add a nice kick, but the text on the label is smallest of any brand. Please make your lovely spices easier to identify in the midst of cooking!
