Were great, now awful
Like many of the later reviews... the qualify of these avocados has been declining, in recent weeks. Final straw this week when the 'in date' avocados were black inside. Wont be buying again!
Use to be in my weekly shop but no more
These once beautiful avocado's are now hit and miss and usually miss. Our last 3 have been terrible, whereby both have had to be binned and at this price it really isn't on! Just realised I haven't asked for a refund either! They use to be perfect every time but now hard, and inedible, or if you do get a ripe one, they are tasteless. and disgusting. Yuk.
Persistent Declining Quality
What has happened to these over the last few weeks? Different farm? Different supplier? They used to be consistently good. Now every week they end up in the bin uneaten. They are either totally black inside or as hard as house bricks which then go from rock hard to black and rotting with no in-between stage. Time to find avocados from elsewhere.
Used to be good
Totally agree with last two reviews. I have bought these on numerous occasions and until the last few weeks or so they have been great. Now they turn up rock hard and dont ripen, sometimes you can pull a few bits out that are ok but more often than not they end up in the food waste.
definitely have changed!
Same as the review below the quality of these avocados has very much decreased in recent weeks. They used to be delicious, creamy and yummy - now they show up hard, never ripen and rubbery/black. Im so sad I no longer get yummy avocados. Avoid!!
definitely a change of supplier
I have ordered these every week for a number of years and without exception they have been absolutely the best avocados I could get anywhere. Flavoursome, creamy, good level of ripeness - even had friends and family comment on how good they were. Recent batches - I would say the last 6 weeks - have been the complete opposite. Hard on arrival, slow to ripen, the flesh sticks to the stone, partially blackened on cutting. I have persisted because they were so very very good but have finally capitulated and will buy elsewhere until the usual quality is restored. Such a shame as they have been truly fabulous in the past.
