Our Ocado organic beef is organically farmed and raised exclusively on Ireland’s pasture-based system. Ireland’s unique position in the Atlantic Ocean provides a temperate climate and plentiful rainfall, making it perfectly positioned for growing grass.
This contributes to the great taste of our beef as part of a rich, naturally sustainable environment. The organic farming methods use no fertilisers, herbicides, hormones, or routine medicines.
This is coupled with the highest standards in animal welfare and industry leading sustainability initiatives such as;
- Water regeneration programs using natural reed filtering systems
- Biodiversity corridors which regenerate the environment and facilitate the natural flora and fauna of the area
- The creation of tree corridors which advance us towards the goal of carbon neutrality and provide shelter for local wildlife

gritty
I made burgers - no binder - just meat. The meat was gritty, with stuff like sand in it. Also some of it could not be chewed- like sawdust had got into it. Worrying
Short use by date!
I've been buying this mince for ages, and the last few times, the use by date is within 2 days of delivery!! If this continues, I'll stop buying it. It's unacceptable!
Hit and miss
This can be exceptionally good mince and when on offer it is good value for money. However, on a number of occasions I've had to request refunds as it's gone off well before the use by date. When you get a fresh pack it is lovely mince, full of flavour and an ideal all rounder. I wish the quality control would be addressed though as sending out meat that's not fit for consumption, shouldn't be happening.
Lovely Flavour
Perfect for the lasagnes and cottage pies that I bulk cook and freeze
Gone off
I've had this mince before but the last pack was off. I froze it on day of purchase, defrosted it one day and cooked it, so it was still well in date. It smelled bad, tasted bad and even the dog wouldn't eat it. Annoying because I had been happy with this mince before and now I don't feel I can buy it again.
