Parmigiano Reggiano PDO cheese made with unpasteurised milk.
Strength - 4
Tangy with a fresh, fruity taste, this cheese is matured over 24 months to develop its characteristically full flavour. It's delicious when freshly shaved over salads and pasta sauces and if you haven't got a cheese shaver, try using your potato peeler.
This famous Italian cheese is made in the DOP region of Northern Italy using Italian milk from the same region and, the same centuries old traditional method.

Does the job
Happy with the quality and for everyday use
1/3 of waxy section
I used to buy this regularly and it was okay. For the past two months every package contained a block with inedible waxy cover on one end, lengthwise. It amounts to about 1/3 of the block that I have been cutting away. I no longer buy this.
the best
we buy every week
Simply Tasteless
I am not very fuzzy about my parmigiano... but this one is really, really tasteless. It has only 21.2% of the typical parmigiano taste. Sorry ocado, you should rethink this one.
Best value and OK on flavour
Well I wish I could afford to pay £20+ plus for a smaller block of Parmesan but as we use it frequently - in toppings with herb flavoured breadcrumbs, on top of bakes and of course simply on pasta we just get through too much to do so! This is OK but not top notch on flavour but serves the purpose at a price we can afford
Good proper parmigiano
Ive purchased parmesan from many many places and decided I need a bigger block because we use lots. I am of Italian parentage and this is tangy, with a crumble and nutty taste which is obvious when cut. it has a strong scent that many good quality parmigianos do.
