good value
I like the taste and texture. I boil it for 10 mins and then drain the water and add fresh boiling water which gets rid of the salt. I then simmer it for an hour. I have always been pleased with the result.
FATTY
This used to be very lean with no fat, the last three I have bought are very fatty so by the time the fat is removed you end up with bits and not slices. Now looking for a lean alternative.
Nice ham and great value
Ive been buying sliced ham for sandwiches etc most weeks, but decided to give this a try. I just put it in my slow cooker (just as it, no liquid) for 2 hours and its perfect. A little bit salty, but ham is anyway! I might try soaking first next time. And obviously MUCH cheaper than the sliced ham Ive been buying.
Lovely gammon
This gammon was really nice cooked in the slow cooker.. delicious
Sandwich Ham Substitute
Cooked one of these up and replaced packets of ham with it for a change. It was fine. Decent flavour and texture when sliced thin. Perhaps a tad tough if you're using it for a main meal, but nothing that would particularly hinder your enjoyment -especially at this price.
Regular purchase
This is a regular purchase in our house. Either sliced for sandwiches and salads, or slow cooked. Cant argue with the price either!
