Regional Information
Shiraz is selected from various Paxton vineyards and blended together. Selected from 19th, Jones and Quandong Farm properties located on the Seaview sub region of McLaren Vale, which cover various aspects and soil types. Thomas Block is the cooler of the selected sites and is located at the bottom of the McLaren Valley a short distance to the east of the township. Viticulture practices are fully certified organic and biodynamic.

Vinification Details
Individual parcels from each vineyard were selected when they reached optimum sugar and flavour equilibrium. Fermentation was carried out in open, static fermenters. During this process, each parcel was plunged and pumped over twice a day for 14 days, to extract colour, flavour and tannin structure. The ferments were pressed to new and mature American and French oak barriques, where they were aged for 12 months prior to blending and bottling.

Great taste, no headache
This is a smooth and tasty red. Recently, I find even 1 glass of cheaper red gives me a headache, but this one is really enjoyable without the sore head!

Lacking in flavour!
Maybe its just me but I was really disappointed with this wine. I love a Shiraz and having read the reviews thought I'd treat myself. I found it, dare I say bland and no oomph on the palate. I could not pick up any black fruitiness maybe only pepperiness. Maybe its just my palate! I've enjoyed cheaper Shiraz's!
