Strong
This was just way to strong tasting for me and i love full bodied red wines, it was just way too overpowering in its Alcohol strength and had no complexity at all due to this reason, was only slightly smooth from the first glass then went down hill, couldn't finish it, wont be buying again and has made me reluctant in trying the rest of the Penfolds range.
arrived without the box
I bought this as a gift because the box looked good too. Sadly I cant comment on the taste as it isnt for me.
Had nicer!
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. This red was ok I prefer a fuller bodied red. I found it bitter, I certainly wouldnt pay £20 for this its more of a £7 bottle
Drinkable red
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I'm delighted that I was offered this to review, its smooth and drinkable, but it's certainly not a light red. One for the winter months with a hearty meal. At £20, this is above what I can afford but it was very nice to try.
Nice and smooth
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I like red wine but not being a connoisseur I am quite happy to stick with the £8 price mark. This was nice, smooth tasted expensive and a great treat so thank you Ocado. I cannot afford £20 wine on a regular basis but I will purchase if on offer or perhaps a Christmas treat.
Good red wine but expensive
Got this for free from ocado to review. It’s a nice full bodied red good for autumn and winter. I did actually use a good slosh of it in a chilli without realising quite how expensive it is at full price….
