Preparation and Usage
Microwave power level:
750 W 900 W
- For 1 block: 50 s 40 s
- For 5 blocks (half of a sachet):
2 min 30 s 2 min
- For 10 blocks (full sachet):
4 min 3 min 30 s Reheating - Cooking pot: Pour the desired amount of blocks in a casserole dish with a little water. Reheat on medium heat for the indicated amount of time, stirring regularly:
- For 1 block with 1 tablespoon of water: 2 min
- For 5 block with 2 tablespoons of water: 5 min.
- For 10 blocks (whole sauce) with 3 tablespoons of water: 7 min

Handy portions for. the freezer
I find these really handy to have in the freezer. Ive used 2 or 3 portions and popped in the microwave and then poured over chicken. As Im the only one in the household that eats peppercorn sauce, theres no waste.
Superb
Very handy to keep stored in the freezer for those last minute steak nights. Very tasty, would highly recommend.

Just right for a good steak
Not overpowering, but authentic. Could add butter for some more richness and a splash of cognac, but its good as it is and I would easily choose this over making my own sauce, as its very conveniently heated up and ready within two minutes.
Totally tasteless
I had high hopes for this, but was very disappointed. A green pepper sauce should taste of pepper, but this is an almost tasteless sauce. Perhaps not totally surprising, when I notice that it only contains 4.5% green pepper, So, I had to add lots of freshly ground black pepper, plus chicken stock and crème fraîche, in order to make it palatable. Definitely not worth the price!
Not up to standard
I feel duped after purchasing these based on the mostly glowing reviews of this product. First of all there are no instructions as to how many blocks to use so it was guess work. I ended up doing 2 blocks per person as they looked quite small. I did them in the microwave but it took longer than the recommended 40 secs to warm them up properly. Once they were warmed to the temperature I liked, I discovered the consistency was thin like water! This couldve been forgiven if it wasnt for the fact that it was incredibly bland too, with the only taste of peppercorn coming from the actual few pieces of whole peppercorn in it. Absolutely terrible product!
