smooth
A good example of you get what you pay for. Dangerously smooth! I get what some have said about the seal. My bottle popped a little when opening, but luckily wine not spoilt. I bought with 25% off will probably buy 6 when same offer on.
Nice wine, shame about the poor quality seal
This is the second time I have had to claim a refund on this wine as it has leaked in my wine rack. There is something going wrong. One bottle that hasn't leaked looked dented around the seal. I would have given this wine 5 stars if it wasn't for the problems I have encountered. I won't be buying again as it's not worth the bother.
Lovely and Smooth
This is a repeat purchase in our household. It has a lovely rich fruity flavour, with no harsh aftertaste. Very smooth and easy to drink as an accompaniment to a meal or on its own. Fantastic that it is both organic and has no added sulphites which is probably why I have never had a headache after drinking this wine. I highly recommend.
Easy drinking
Enjoyed this and love the sulphite status, but just can't justify buying it regularly because of the price point.
Five Star Organic Merlot
This Merlot is smooth and mellow, medium bodied, and very enjoyable to drink either on its own or alongside a meal. It is pricey for a vino da tavola, or table wine, but I would rather drink less often and drink high quality wine than quaff quantities of headache inducing plonk. It’s worth noting that, being a natural product and made without the addition of sulphur, it needs to be aerated at room temperature for twenty or so minutes. Open the bottle and let it breathe whilst you cook. Drunk straight away upon opening, it will taste quite sharp, especially if you usally drink chemically adulterated wine. This might well explain the couple of poor reviews stating that the wine was acidic. A little patience and you’ll be rewarded with a very pleasant glass, or two, and no headache the following day. I’m happy that Ocado stock this Merlot as it’s about the only red of its quality that I can still afford to buy; it really cheers up a dull wintery weekend.
I didn\x27t like it
I know it's not a great review - I'm writing it for my own benefit so I know not to order it again as I didn't like it - but I am not a huge red wine drinker so others might like it.
