Colombian
beans are steeped with our potato vodka in copper pot stills for twenty four
hours before being redistilled to clear liquid. The resulting vodka has a
delicious toasted coffee aroma that fills the nostrils. The rich and creamy
spirit provides a perfect platform to carry the intense coffee flavour, which
coats the mouth and lingers long on the palate.
MAKING THE VODKAS
Each bottle of Portobello Road Potato Vodka is distilled from almost three
kilograms of British potatoes. The spirit is first distilled to a very high
level of purity using the process of continuous distillation, and is then
distilled once more the old fashioned way, in a copper pot still; this time
in the presence of sacrificial copper, which helps to remove any unpleasant
tasting flavour compounds. We then add the purest water and bottle it.

If you have ever had chocolate coated coffee beans then you know what taste to expect with this. What you wont expect is the smell. Its pungent to say the least and, for me, spoils the drink. At least it was half price but its already gone from my favourites.
I rarely drink coffee or vodka but imagining this could be useful in cocktails, I thought I should give it a go. I'm glad I did because it's so good. It's very smooth, it reminds me of Snow queen, which is the only vodka I've ever managed to drink neat. The coffee flavour is excellent, toasty and nutty with a hint of vanilla. Amazing in an espresso martini and a white Russian. I'm stocking up with another bottle!
An unexpected treat .
A really good vodka , smooth and tasted great .
The coffee bean flavour was great and not too overpowering.
Highly recommend and will be buying this again in my next order .
Only downside was trying to get it open . Even after previously opening it . It was still took a bit effort getting the corked top off .
