Perfect

Lovely with frozen fruit popped in the oven to put chilled over cereal with whatever else you fancy. No need to add sugar. So much cheaper than fresh and just as good.

Good to keep in the cupboard for a quick crumble

Handy for a swift crumble

I always keep this in the cupboard ready to help use up old apples from the fruit bowl. I peel and chop these into big chunks. Pour the rhubarb and syrup into baking dish and stir though apples and a couple of teaspoons cornflour. I bake this, cool it and then when I need it I top it with crumble, cake, or pastry and then bake and serve. Okay it isn't pink but it tastes very comforting and is so easy.

Disappointing

Because of the packaging I was expecting the rhubarb to be pink/green. It is a tin of yellowtail green mush. I would not want to serve this.

very handy for when not in season

The rhubarb season is so short that I always have a couple of tins of this as backup. Made a delicious rhubarb cake last week and everyone loved it. Fresh is always better but not often available so will continue buying these.
