Product information
Quinta do Noval Unfiltered LBV is a Single Vineyard LBV, made from grapes exclusively grown in Quinta do Noval's own vineyards, at the heart of the Douro valley. It has a deep rich red colour with ripe aromas of cherries on the nose, a mouthful of fresh red fruits with a fine and silky tannic structure and a long harmonious finish. Ideally served as an accompaniment to chocolate, cheese, dessert or simply on its own. This wine is unfiltered and will continue to develop in the bottle. It may throw sediment and need decanting.

Tasting Notes
A deep ruby colour with an intense and elegant aroma. Great aromatic richness and a mouthful of ripe black fruits and spices. It has fine but solid tannins that gives it a structure of great amplitude and a long and flavourful finish.
History
This wine is a remarkable example of the Noval style. Treated exactly like a Vintage Port with only noble grape varieties
from the Quinta, trodden by foot and unfiltered. Its main difference is that it is aged for five years in casks instead of the two years typical of Vintage Ports. Definitely an LBV with a difference, with fine structured tannins, great freshness and purity of fruit. It is delicious to drink today, but will age beautifully in its bottle. This is our “Baby Vintage“

Wonderful!
A truly glorious Port at a fair price and well worth snapping up a few bottles when (rarely) on offer. Fantastic, black fruit, concentration, medium, velvety, tannic grip and lovely acidity on the finish keeping everything fresh. Wonderful!
