Product information
Rimapere means "Five arrows" in Maori. Taken from the Rothschild coat-of-arms, these arrows are enhanced by a blue colour reminiscent of the Wairau River.
This Pinot Noir owes its character to a unique terroir of river stones. Its perfectly balanced tannic texture is complemented by ripe flavours of cherry and other fruits, as well beautifully acidity.

Tasting Notes
Deep crimson red. Complex, spicy aromatics of black cherry, baking spices and a hint of dried pine needles. An attractive core of red fruits is supported by well integrated fine oak creating a lovely structure
History
Rimapere means ¿five arrows¿ in Maori and simultaneously honours the Rothschild family's coat of arms and traditional New Zealand culture. Benjamin de Rothschild dreamed of creating his own sauvignon blanc wine. He had to find the perfect gem and corresponding jewellery box for a precise wine-growing endeavour, far from the industrial vineyards also present in Marlborough.
Regional Information
Rimapere is in the prestigious Rapaura region, in the 'Golden Triangle' of Marlborough. This region is known to have the very best growing conditions and neighbours include the prestigious Craggy Range and Cloudy Bay.
