Just Splendid

This us truly a splendid wine. Fresh, fruity and easy to drink rose. Brings out the best of Provence, and being produced by Chateau Roubine, a Cru Classe producer it's great value for modernity. Highly recommend.

What was that?

I’m quite selective with rosé and tend to stay with Provençal rosés. I did think that based on the price point it would be more than drinkable - St. Beatrice was less than drinkable. I don’t know what that was, but both the fragrance and the taste smelled of slightly rotting vegetation. A bit bizarre. It did not translate into this just being a bad bottle as I don’t believe a bad bottle can taste and smell like this. They’re really pushing the envelope at that price.
