Used to be great
Since they've changed the packaging this is now very dry and I dread having it for sandwiches. I can't help but think the freshness sticker has caused this.
Just returned to gluten free
This was the go-to bread 15 years ago and its still just as good. Im not celiac but trying to limit my wheat consumption and Im pleased that this is still available and as tasty as I remember. Its a bit of a shame that gluten free products are still so expensive, but I guess its still a smaller market and an expensive process to make.
Schar is normally good, but this bread is very dry
I like Schar products, but I've had this specific loaf a few times and it's always been very dry. Too dry for sandwiches, just about OK for toast.
salty
The texture was good but the salty taste spoiled it for me.
