Preparation and Usage
- 300ml semi-skimmed Milk
2 Easy Steps
1 Stir the sauce mix with milk in a small saucepan.
2 Bring to the boil gently, stirring continuously. Simmer for a couple of mins, until sauce is smooth and thickened.
Microwave (800W)... Microwave ovens vary. The following is a guide only. Empty the sauce mix into a large microwaveable bowl or jug. Stir in milk and heat on full power for 4 mins, stirring every minute until smooth and thickened. Stir well and ensure sauce is piping hot before serving.
Try Something Different... Layer with pasta sheets and beef ragu to make a flavourful baked lasagne, drizzle over nachos with crispy bacon and sliced chillies or top steamed vegetables with the sauce, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake until golden for a delicious veg bake.

Awful They Need To Change Receipe
I couldnt quite decide if this smelt and tasted more like paint or very strong twang of long life milk. No resemblance to tasting of cheese whatsoever, it is vile. Nearly wasted a family lasagna luckily I had a pot of fresh pasta cheese sauce in fridge.
Disaster
I usually make my own cheese sauce but purchased this to have a quick substitute in my cupboard. it was absolutely horrible, not sure what it tasted of but not cheese that's for sure. Will not buy again.
This cheese sauce is honestly vile
I make a quick and dirty lasagne sometimes with packet cheese sauce instead of Bechemal. As this was on offer I got a few thinking "Hmmmmm ... extra cheesey. What could go wrong?" It is SO overly cheese and fake American cheese tasting it completely ruined the pork and beef meat sauce. Just weird tasting and chemically. Honestly I can't recommend. Up till now I thought there was no such thing as too much cheese. This is proof I was wrong.
Truly Awful, No, Diabolical.
I'm mad as hell, I spent about 40 minutes preparing what should have been a lovely family meal. I'd previously used the ordinary Schwartz cheese sauce, which I'd found to be extremely good, so I thought for a change I'd use this extra Mature Cheese sauce. It's utterly disgusting. It has a very strong weird taste and a strange almost paint like smell. Result, meal a total disaster. With hindsight I should have tasted it before pouring it over the pasta, but you trust that a brand like Schwartz wouldn't produce something so vile. How it got past their tasting department is beyond me. Advice, stay the hell away from this.
Good flavour
I love a cauliflower cheese but can be a bit bland this packs a punch meaning I have to use less cheese for topping.
