Delicious
Very morish. Great taste of onion. One of my favourites.
Not special...
I've used this twice now, nice, but I wasn't blown away. Will return to my usual (the famous gravy granuals) when used up.
High hopes dashed
My mistake was not noticing in the description it is powder to add to boiling water - I thought it was ready made. With no pieces of onion in it the flavour was more artificial. It was also very runny (followed the instructions). I had hoped for a rich, flavourful and unctuous gravy, but it disappointed. I wouldnt buy this again.
Very Nice Flavour
I was asked to review this as a free item from Ocado. Using slightly more (15g) than the recommended 10g per 100ml of water, made the stock rich, thick and tasty. It’s suitable for vegetarians which makes it very flexible at mealtimes and has no added preservatives, MSG or hydrogenated fat. Unlike some other stock/gravy, this dissolves quickly and doesn’t leave lumps. It’s a shame it’s got Maltodextrin, sugar and colourings in the ingredients which are the only things putting me off, hence the 4 star rating.
