Live Intense Colour Cosmic Blue 090 is a permanent hair dye designed for medium brown to black hair. Create your own unique look with a vibrant hue of colour and up to 100% grey coverage. The built-in Vibrancy Serum activates colour at the core of each hair strand for maximum colour depth, fade resistance and impressive shine.

Preparation and Usage
- Always perform an allergy alert test 48 hours prior to colouring
- For long or thick hair we recommended using two packs
- This shade is recommended for hair colours medium brown to black
- Results may vary on previously coloured hair
- Use a clarifying/deep cleanse shampoo 48 hours prior to application.
- Check application range to ensure your natural hair is suitable for your chosen shade
1. Preparation:
- Always perform an Allergy Alert Test 48 hours before each time you colour, even if you've used the product before
- Before applying your colour, cover your clothing with an old towel/cape and put on gloves provided
- Apply to dry, unwashed hair
2. Mixing:
- Unscrew nozzle of Developer Lotion, pierce the Live Colour Cream tube and carefully squeeze the entire contents into the Developer Lotion bottle.
- Replace the application nozzle and shake until all components are thoroughly mixed.
3. Application:
- Follow application process for either first-time or root regrowth application
- Leave formula to develop for 20-30 minutes
4. Rinsing:
- Rinse hair under warm water until water runs clear
5. Conditioning:
- Apply Live Care Conditioner and leave in for 2 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly, hair is left feeling soft and shiny
The colour result will depend on your natural hair colour. The table on the back of the pack provides an indication of the colour result that can be obtained with this shade. Results may vary on previously coloured hair. For long or thick hair we recommend using two packs.

Do not colour your hair if:
- you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp,
- you have experienced any reaction after colouring your hair,
- you have experienced a reaction to a temporary “black henna” tattoo in the past.
Contains hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. See bottom of pack for full list of ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse immediately if product comes into contact with them. Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows. Rinse hair well after application. Wear suitable gloves.

Do not use
I wasn't going to post this but have no choice but to name and shame as Schwarzkopf are no longer replying to my emails. Since 2019 i have used the same hair dye XXL live cosmic blue. Didnt do patch test as I've use this product for the last 2 years every 6 to 8 weeks never had any problem. Until 2 weeks ago. Saturday night I coloured my hair and could of leave it on 10 mins as it was burning. I wake up Sunday and my scalp is on fire and weeping so much my hair is stuck to my scalp. Later on Sunday the side of my head starts swelling. Monday morning I wake up looking like my face has exploded. After spending 6 hours at Birmingham Eye hospital as my eye was that swollen it had closed. Then a further 7 hours in heartlands a&e given steroids antibiotics for a sever allergic reaction. After 3 days the swelling finally went down.. but then I developed a rash all over my body which required further steroids and steroid cream. Over 2 weeks and I'm still feeling the effects of the sever reaction physically and financially.. cost me a fortune in taxis to hospitals and prescriptions charges for 9 different medicines. My left eye is never going to be normal again the swelling and rash has caused skin to sag on my eye lid. I contacted schwarzkopf and they admitted that they changed a perfumed ingredient in the product in May 2021, but didn't put any warning on the box that the product had changed !! If they had put a warning on the box that it had been changed i would of done a patch test. LADIES DO NOT USE XXL LIVE !!!! Sorry about the horrific photos but you need to see what xxl live can cause
More black than blue
I was really looking forward to having blue hair and was bitterly disappointed with this hair dye. I always do the skin test beforehand and that was fine, then I carefully read and follow the instructions as each brand can be slightly different. My hair was mid brown so I was expecting the middle blue displayed on the box. What I got instead was black, their might be a bit of blue in there somewhere but even when stepping into different lighting it doesn't really show. Very disappointed as it looks nothing like the vibrant colour on the box. My hair was relatively soft afterwards but not as much as it could be. Note that I do dye my hair but only underneath above my ears as I've been grey there since my early 20s. So there were no issues with this colour reacting with another. And the grey bits aren't blue either, they are black.

Asked to review for Ocado- Excellent hair dye, colour exactly as on the packaging, although some slight fading a few weeks on.
Lovely deep colour
I was given this to review, passed on to my friends daughter as its too dark for me. The colour came out really well but is fading quite quickly.
Brilliant Blue
I have medium brown hair and this covered beautifully. My head felt really soft and was very shiny after conditioning. I usually wash my hair every other day. I used this three weeks ago and still no sign of fighting. Brilliant.

We received this as a free sample to review from Ocado. The kids claimed this freebie, we did the allergy test first, no problems. We did my son’s whole head (he’s 17) and it really suits him. It’s not vibrant, quite dark. Easy to use, but it did make quite a mess. I would buy this hair dye again, maybe not this colour though.
