History
Silk & Spice pays homage to the sense of adventure, knowledge and courage of the Portuguese sailors that explored the world in the 15th century and opened the silk and spice trade routes between Europe and Asia. A wine meant to be discovered.
Regional Information
Portugal is no longer just for fortified Port and has been making quality still wine for decades. With a coast line that stretches the entirety of the west border, the country is ideal for producing high quality red, white and rosé wine.

Vinification Details
Grapes were harvested separately by variety. Upon arriving at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and carried to fermentation vats. Alcoholic fermentation took place for around 8 days, at an average temperature of 26°C.

Nice wine but pricing leaves a bitter taste
Great wine but more deceitful pricing. This time raise the price 40% from £10 to £14 and then offer a short term reduction of 25% from £14 (which is crazy for a blended wine) to £10.50 to show how much you care about your customers. Fat chance this review will get published!

Amazing
We first tried this on a Cruise and looked for a stockist when home. Luckily our favourite online Supermarket, Ocado, stocks it.

Does what it says on the tin!
The vanilla tastes give the silky flavour, the spice coming from pepper and cinnamon. Plenty of complex fruit flavours. Slight oakiness. Gets great reviews on Vivino app

Sugar and spice
This should be called sugar and spice as it has slightly sweet yet spicy notes. Definitely worth a try.
