White wax coated Extra Mature Cheddar with Black Summer Truffle. A strong savoury taste and truffle flavour. The cheese has a smooth creamy texture with small truffle pieces throughout. The appearance is pale creamy yellow with dark truffle flecks throughout.

The cheddar is produced from pasteurised cow's milk, lactic acid, bacterial cultures, non-animal rennet and salt. Matured to an agreed level and positively released. The cheese is chopped, blended, extruded and waxed to form individual cheeses.

Cheese was very tasty, we ate it in one sitting. The wax is incredibly thick.

Nice cheese, don\x27t like the wax and round shape

Pleasant, strong truffle flavour, firm texture but not crumbly, so fairly easy to slice. The wax is thick. So, you need some force with a strong knife blade. Would prefer some sort of wrapper. The shape is not very convenient, you end up with varying length slices, short at the ends, unless you want to try cutting disks from it I suppose, but that would not be easy.

very truffly

A very good option. You just need a sharp knife to cut through the wax so dont understand those reviews downgrading it.

Less wax please

I loved the flavour of this cheese, but didn't like the thick wax coating. A thinner coat would be great as I found this so hard to cut.

Disappointing

I was looking forward to this special treat for Christmas but ended up disappointed, as it is more wax than cheese, and you can't consume the product straight away, as you have to wait for the wax to warm up enough, to be able to cut through. I would have prefer a more gritty texture for the cheddar. This cheese savior is the sooo flavour some truffle!

Mouldy

This is well in date and the wax coating was intact. There was quite bad mould all over it.
