Recipes

Ingredients
4 tbsp vegetable oil
200g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp Splenda® Granulated
175ml buttermilk/milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
200g blueberries
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4. Prepare a 12hole muffin tray with paper cases. This is best done in advance so the batter doesn't have to wait before being poured into the cases.
2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large mixing bowl, then gently stir in the Splenda® Granulated.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, vanilla extract, egg and the oil together. Make a well in the centre of the flour and slowly fold in the liquid. When all the liquid is added, beat well and add the blueberries.
4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tray so that each case is about twothirds full. Bake in the oven for 20/25 minutes. You can test whether the muffins are cooked by pressing lightly on one; if the top springs back, they are ready.
5. Cool the muffins on a wire rack.

Best sweetener
The best sweetener by far on the market. Good value too as one tub lasts ages (and I'm a heavy user).
No aftertaste
I was given a pack free to review. Although we don’t take sugar in beverages it is very useful to have in the store cupboard for visitors. Only a little is needed as it is quite sweet, but it has no aftertaste, unlike some other sweeteners
Useful cupboard item
I was sent this for free and asked to review. We don’t really get through an awful lot of sugar in our house but have given this to a few guests and they didn’t taste the difference. You really only do need a tiny but though as is very sweet.
Almost tastes like sugar
I was given this product to try from Ocado and was grateful as I am trying to cut down on my sugar. I've tried sweeteners in the past but they always went frothy on cereal and in drinks, this one only does a tiny bit and tastes less artificial than other brands I've tried. Will last ages too, but will definately look to puchasing this when it runs out.
Variable sweetness
Not all batches are equal, and as a result a teaspoon from one batch can be more or less sweet than a teaspoon from another. Nevertheless this is still my favourite sweetener as it's good value for money and doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste.
Better than most sweeteners
I was asked to review this by Ocado. It is definitely one of the better artificial sweeteners, no bitter or aftertaste at all. I used it for baking as a sugar substitute and it is to be recommended.
