Thanks for the grape Dalfour
So nice to finally be able to get grape jam in the UK! Much better than the stuff I grew up on in the States, as another reviewer said, a more posh version. We love all the Dalfour jams and this is a great new addition
Top fruity, bottom gloopy
these St Dalfour jams are a firm fav of mine. However like most of their jams, this one starts packed with fruit until you get halfway, and then the fruit peters out and you are left with a runny gloop at the bottom. The taste is lovely though and it doesn't stop me buying this brand.
nice flavour but not spreadable!
I loved the taste and ethos of only using fruit juice instead of sugar so it's not overly sweet, however the whole point of jam is to spread it on your toast, this jar is briming of full size grapes, with hardly any jam surrounding the fruit. I like a coarse textured jam with loads of fruit, but this has gone to the extreme so that you try spreading it on your toast and all you get it 4 or 5 grapes and nothing else.
Very strange
This is called fruit spread but is utterly unspreadable. It is a jar of horribly sweet, yet tasteless, whole grapes with an oddly disturbing texture. Looked like a jar of slugs.
Cest bon
Its French, its what they do, its always good. Just a different flavour from what were used to. you wont be disappointed, really ace with cheese, especially a good sharp cheddar. Its a nice change from the sweet claggy jams.
Big chunks of grape
Very good ham with big chuncks of grape. Not very sweet. For me it is the perfect combination
