Product information

A Nordic whisky with Iberian blood flowing through its veins. Stauning El Clásico takes Stauning Rye Whisky, which has been aged in new American oak barrels, then additionally matures it in Spanish vermouth casks. Inspired by the classic Manhattan cocktail, with a bittersweet and herbaceous twist.

Stauning El Clásico is made with 100% local grains - rye and barley - that are floor malted and kiln dried in the Stauning distillery, then double-distilled in small direct-fired copper pot stills.

Stauning El Clásico was voted Best Danish Rye Whisky at World Whiskies Awards 2023 and is the winner of a Double Gold medal at the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition 2022 and Gold medals at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) 2023 and San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021.

Smooth

I am reviewing this as I received a free voucher from Ocado.I mixed it with fever tree ginger and it was really smooth with a sweetness to it. I would buy again.

Love the Vermouth

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free coupon from Ocado. Totally new to the Staunning brand before seeing it at Ocado but this is my favourite. You can subtle taste the vermouth drinking over ice and tasted amazing in a Vieux carre cocktail this weekend.

Stauning el Classico I am reviewing this as received a voucher from Ocado This is a fabulous whiskey quite thick deliciously smooth with a sweet aftertaste drank neat over ice if youre looking for something as an an alternative to Scottish malt whiskey this is the one would recommend strongly and shall be buying a bottle for a whiskey drinking friend next month definitely a 5 star rating

Amazing whiskey!

I'm reviewing this because I received a coupon from Ocado. Usually a Jack Daniels drinker. This is so good. Smooth and delicious. Lovely over ice or with pepsi. Cool looking bottle too so would make an awesome gift! Really liked this a lot. Would purchase again!

Powerful and tasty

I am reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I have not tried rye whisky before and I am so pleased to have received this. It is a strong whisky with a thick texture. It is spicy with a hint of sweetness. We enjoyed it neat with ice. I would recommend it as a change from Scotch malt.
