Great alternative to nut\/seed butters.
I combine this flour with melted coconut oil to make my own tiger 'nut' butter (tiger nuts are actually a tuber). The flour has a mild, sweet, earthy flavour. Similar to almond, with hints of vanilla and walnut. Tiger nut flour can be gritty, but this one is finely milled. It's quite high in natural sugars, so I don't use it in large amounts.
great for smoothies
Lovely texture for smoothies. Naturally sweet. A bit pricey but will keep buying for my morning smoothies
Love it but expensive
I was sent this flour in return for a review. Today I made some delicious little cakes using coconut oil and coconut sugar and cacao powder. Interesting texture, a bit like having desiccated coconut in it but it worked out well and is gluten free. A bit pricey but for a treat I would buy it.
Great alternative to flour for expert bakers
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I baked a cake using this flour and as suggested I halved the amount of sugar in the recipe, so far so good, however this threw the balance of ingredients making the cake far too greasy, so I would say this is excellent as a flour alternative but it is not a straight substitute, you need to review the entire recipe and try what works best. As for the final result, the cake was nice, sweet enough despite using 50% of required sugar, slightly nutty and a little grainy. I will experiment with this again, in time I'm sure I can improve my tiger nut flour baking results
Nice flavour
Nice nutty flavour very fine grind tiger nut flower.
OK
Was sent this to review and so far used it only as a topping for cereal, Not really anything nice about it but not anything bad, Not much taste and doesn't add anything but in some sense it also doesn't taste bad. will try baking with it and see if better then
