Not a pleasure
One of many single malts not stating an age so assume it's the minimum 3 years. Marketed on the basis that it was aged in red wine casks. In this case Pinot Noir. I should have paid more attention as this is not my favourite grape. Strong vanilla on the nose with a bit of smoke. Quite sharp and astringent on the palette with a tobacco finish. Not particularly smooth and not even pleasant in coffee. There are more pleasant and cheaper blends out there. Avoid even on offer.
lovely
Really nice flavour and texture. Makes a nice change from the usual
warm taste
really lovely on a cold night it was warmth in a glass undertones of vanilla but not too much meaning you can taste woodyness to it too well balanced would buy again
Cheap and cheerful
Got it on a coupon for £20 which was a great price for a single malt. Even at full price, I would consider buying another bottle. The whiskey itself is not overly complex and has a hint of sherry notes. Drinks well on its own or even mixed.
Delicious
It was on offer at £20 when I bought it however I'd happily pay the full price (£32.50). Vanilla, fruit, spice, warm finish. Delicious 😋
Super smooth and tasty.
Lovely smooth, sweet whisky. Very drinkable, you can taste the, almost Sherry hints, sweet figs. Super delicious, and easy to drink.
