Why the bad reviews?

I can only assume that those who have reviewed this negatively, do not like the alcoholic version of Tanqueray gin, as its impossible to tell the difference in terms of taste alone. This is an excellent non alcoholic version of gin and tastes pretty much the same, but you obviously dont get the alcoholic kick. I was so surprised that you could get something so close to the original. A truly excellent sub.

Pleasantly surprised

I wasnt sure about getting this at all, as the reviews are very mixed. Took a chance and so glad I did! Admittedly, I havent had a normal gin and tonic since January so that could be why it tastes very good to me and much like the real thing. I put 50ml of it in the glass with one can Fevertree light tonic, four large ice cubes and a slice of lemon. Perfect. I cant drink alcohol because of the medication Im on, so this is a nice solution and makes me feel like Im joining in when drinking with friends.

terrible

Far too easily mistaken for the real thing when shopping. Should have warning labels. Dangerous! This product could seriously damage the civility of the cocktail hour.

Perfect substitute

I think like a lot of people, my way of getting through dry January is to try and pretend its not happening! This is ideal. Add a quality tonic water and it really does the job of a refreshing G&T. Yes, its not an exact match, but it gets closer than any other.

tastes and smells like a chemical

A friend recommended this, but I can only assume we have different taste. It has a strong chemical smell that makes the taste pretty awful and artificial. Ive found that if you dont sniff it, it tastes marginally better. Even with fevertree, its pretty awful. The best I can say is its better than seedlip. Its destined to be gifted to said friend.
