really good
Love this fish sauce Ive bought it twice in the last month. I use it for Thai dishes and also making kimchi. Fish sauce is supposed to be very salty.
So salty
I tried this because of the good reviews but I don't like the flavour and it tastes really salty, the Squid brand has a higher fish content but unfortunately isn't available on Ocado so I'll have to buy it elsewhere.
Good value
Great price and quality
good
I use this fish sauce a lot for noodle dishes and made kimchi also. Very happy with flavour.
Not totally authentic, but still good
I agree with a previous reviewer that a good fish sauce shouldn't contain sugar, however, like many foreign products this has possibly been pimped for the English palate. It's still good though, albeit a bit bland and watered down so a generous dash is needed. Maybe the producer is getting away with it by labelling it as fish sauce and not nam pla or nuoc cham?
Literally adds "Thai taste" !
I'm quite bemused by the reviews below, saying it's tasteless etc. I've been using this fish sauce for years and years, not only is it good value it literally adds the "Thai taste" to food usually along with palm sugar. I've spent a little time in Thailand and this fish sauce definitely adds an authentic flavour. I would definitely recommend this and other items from this brand including their curry pastes
