This authentic recipe contains wood smoked chicken pieces marinated in herbs and spices with red kidney beans in a light spicy sauce, with Basmati rice to serve.

Remove outer sleeve and pierce film lid.
Place directly into microwave. Heat on full power. Peel back film lid, stir each compartment mid-way through the cooking time and re-cover. Heat on full power for remaining cooking time.
Rest for 2 minutes.
After Cooking:
Check food is piping hot throughout before serving.; Microwave - From Chilled. 850 W category D, 5 minutes

Very Tasty But
I found this although full of flavour really salty. Not sure if it was the the rice or the chicken.
Very tasty, will buy again
The flavours are amazing and i really enjoyed this dish. I agree with some of the other reviews about the thick sauce making it more difficult to avoid a mouthful of gristle and skin. I think next time ill dig the chicken out and then put back in the good bits of the drumstick.
Delicious but you have to pick through the chicken
Delicious ready meal. Well-seasoned and the right level of spice. However, the chicken is on the bone, and with the skin still on, and, when coated in a thick sauce, you can inadvertently get a mouthful of (flabby) chicken skin or bits of gristle. I probably would order it again but pick through the chicken first and put it back into the sauce. Maybe defeats the object of a ready meal but, for the taste, it’s just about worth it.

Fatty sauce that was gelatinous and not very flavourful. Looked pretty bad. Rice was OK.

Amount of skin off-putting
Id tried two other Black Farmer ready-meals and loved them. But I wont be buying the jerk chicken again. There was a huge amount of loose skin in the serving with wiry chicken hairs visible on it. It looked unappetising and I had to pick my way through that and the bone.
